Japanese-German Symposium on the Implementation of AI and IoT Technologies in Industry

– Towards the creation of a Japanese-German collaborative network –

“GRANITE is a German-Japanese joint project designed with the aim of creating more intelligent solutions for industry in the fast approaching era of digitalization.
Team members of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology and Lyogroup International as well as other companies on the German side and Shinshu University on the Japanese side are investigating how to implement industrial applications in AI and IoT technology, especially in the sector of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and plan to develop a German-Japanese collaborative network.
On this occasion, a German-Japanese Joint Symposium on AI, IoT, Industry 4.0, Society 5.0 will be held on October 15, 2019 (Tue), at the Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University.

Particular attention will be directed towards the development of a human-centred approach to digitalisation for SMEs in Japan and Germany, using case studies to discuss the respective future courses of, and challenges facing, the two countries, and to generate and share ideas on practical collaboration.
Interested representatives of local government, companies and related organizations are cordially invited to join the symposium.
